We've Got a Web Page!

By Steve Gilbert, LFCA President

Thanks to all the hard work by Harry Hopkins, our community is now on the World Wide Web. Harry has put together a nice set of pages which you can get to by typing in www.lakeforestcommunity.org. That's one big run-on of three words between the "www" and the "org". So many of the good ones were already taken, such as lfca.com, lfca.org, lakeforest.org, etc. Our name may be long, but it tells everyone who we are and if you bookmark it, you only have to type it in once!

As with most things, our page is growing and changing constantly. Our intent is to use this forum for making information available to you, just as we do with the newsletter. However, with the web site we can do it faster and include more details.

Currently, Harry has several items posted to include a general welcome, notice about a dishwasher recall, all the Community By Laws and Covenants, links to a wide variety of useful pages within Fairfax County, a listing of the LFCA officers with links to their e-mail accounts, a place to recommend or not recommend you favorite contractors, and some pictures showing a group of volunteers installing two of our new information signs. That's just some of the things you'll find on our page. By the time this is printed you can be sure it will have changed. Stop by and pay us a visit!
