Minutes for the Lake Forest Community Association

Board Meeting

July 15, 2004

The Lake Forest Community Association Board of Directors met at Bev's home at 7:30 pm on July 15, 2004.

Bev called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. In attendance were Bev Franklin, Bill Ethington, Wes Cox, Jim Evans, Harry Hopkins, Dave Wilson, Steve Gilbert and Evelyn Hempstead. Gloria Flick was absent.

The minutes from May were reviewed and approved.

Evelyn indicated that she's having trouble with the annuals at the entrances. She suspects the cicadas may be causing the damage.

Wes reported that the one-year CD came up for renewal. He renewed it for another year as he felt we would not need the funds. All dues have been paid with the exception of one check returned for insufficient funds. Wes is pursuing that issue with the resident.

Wes made a motion that the Board approve an expense of up to $1600 to repoint and repair the caps at the brick walls at the three entrances. The motion carried with one dissenting vote. Evelyn and Wes will determine the amount of funds spent on the entrances over the last year for maintenance and repair.

Steve obtained the forms necessary to conduct the Community Day picnic on Maritime Lane and will be obtaining the signatures shortly.

Next month, we'll discuss the details of the Community Day. Next meeting is 12 August, 7:30 p.m. at Bev's. Meeting adjourned at 8:05 pm.
