Minutes for the Lake Forest Community Association

Board Meeting

November 11, 2004

The Lake Forest Community Association Board of Directors met at Bev’s home at 7:30 pm on November 11, 2004.

Bev called the meeting to order at 7:55 p.m.  In attendance were Bev Franklin, Wes Cox, Jim Evans,, Evelyn Hempstead, and Steve Gilbert.

The minutes from October were reviewed and approved.

Wes reported that the expenditures are up to date and that we are currently under budget.  Checking account balance is currently $19,913.39.  Wes suggests we issue an annual community calendar with the mailing for the dues letters, which would also include the proposed annual budget for the following year.  The calendar would include dates for the Community Day(s), Yard Sales, and other community events.  We could firm up these dates during the January Board meeting.  Dues letters typically go out during mid February.

Evelyn had the mailbox area cleaned up.  Evelyn asked if she could carry over remaining common grounds maintenance funds from this year to next year in the event she is unable to commit those funds this year.  She would like to have removed some cypress bushes that are overgrowing several of the pathways, but she may not be able to complete that work this year. None of us in attendance had any objections with her request, and it was so moved.  Evelyn is still working on the project of recapping the entranceway signs, and she expects to get that project completed this year.

Next meeting is 9 December, 7:30 p.m. at Bev’s.  Meeting adjourned at 8:19 pm.
