Board Meeting

December 9, 2004

Members present: Wes Cox, Bill Ethington, Beverly Franklin, Steve Gilbert, Harry Hopkins, and Dave Wilson

It was suggested and agreed on to put the following calendar of events in the dues letter and on the web site:

Board Meetings: 2^nd Thursday of each month

Dues out: February

March: Dues due

Community Day: April

Yard sale: May

Community Day: September

Yard sale: October

Decorating contest: December

We also agreed to put in the dues letter the reason behind the increasse in dues, which is to keep in line with Virginia regulations.

Since we have been having so many homeowners sending/and or e-mailing permission to do various additions to their homes, Beverly brought up the need for an architectural review committee. The committee will be made up of Beverly Franklin, Bill Ethington and Dave Wilson, with Steve Gilbert as an alternate. With a committee looking over plans, etc., the board can respond in a more timely manner then having to wait until the next board meeting. The homeowners must have all the permits required by the county. After some discussion, it was suggested that the board needs to write parameters starting with what is in the bylaws. Harry is to research what the bylaws say re: keeping up property, etc. and we will go from there.

The question arose about whether board minutes should be on the web site. The board needs to find out what the regulation is. After some discussion, Dave will check on it.
