Board Meeting
March 10, 2005
Meeting called to order at 7:45 p.m.
Board Members Present: Wes Cox, Bill Ethington, Beverly Franklin, Harry Hopkins and Dave Wilson
Minutes of the February meeting were approved.
Wes reported that 116 homeowners have paid their dues.
Evelyn reported that the Remington Mulch Company will deliver the mulch at each entrance before April 9. Board members who are available will meet at the Maritime Lane entrance to spread mulch, then proceed to the other entrances. Evelyn also asked that if anyone wants to add to the mulch order for personal use, call her as soon as possible.
The remainder of the meeting was spent going over the Architectural Review Committee Charter, and discussion followed regarding the suggested changes. Changes made to the wording were: under Authority 2: Delete Lake Forest Community Association the exterior or a proper pursuant to; delete in Section 7 below from C. Duties (2); (3) addition improvements; add (5) Levy fines (IAW Code of Virginia, Title 55, Property and Conveyances, Chapter 26, Virginia Property Owners’s Association Act, 55-513.); (6) now reads To refer to the Board of Directors for legal action, those homeowners who fail or refuse to comply with the Bylaws and/or ARC resolutions, restrictions and covenants; (6) is now (7). Under D. Approvals (2) deleted voting and changed deposited to placed. Under Instructions and Information remove tree removal and storage shed and add siding, deck and fence.
The ARC Charter will be reviewed at the next meeting again. Our goal is to have the Charter completed before the June 16th general meeting.
The next meeting is April 14, 2005 at Bev’s.
